Narwin Lawrence Sjoberg Obituary (1917 - 2009)

Narwin Lawrence Sjoberg Ogden - Narwin Lawrence Sjoberg, 91, died May 29, 2009 in Ogden. He was born June 22, 1917 in Millville, Utah the son of Lawrence Edward and Mabel Jones Sjoberg. Narwin graduated from Logan High School, Utah State University and Ozenfant School of Fine Art in New York City. He served in the Navy during WWII from 1942 to 1946. Narwin married Annie Elaine Nielsen August 12, 1955 in the Logan LDS Temple and they have resided in Ogden for 51 years. He was a member of the LDS Church and served in many callings. Narwin was a gifted artist and lifetime member of the Ogden Palette Club. He is survived by his wife Elaine; daughters Karalyn Sjoberg, Lori Ann Sjoberg, Dawn Marie Sjoberg and son Stuart L. Sjoberg; brothers Edward J. Sjoberg (Flora) and Russell J. Sjoberg (Marilyn) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph Jones Sjoberg; sister, Erma Sjoberg Maughan. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd. Friends may call prior to the service at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Primary Children's Medical Center.
