N. Jean Wall Obituary (1926 - 2016)

N. Jean Mortensen Wall N. Jean Mortensen Wall passed away peacefully on January 15, 2016. She was 89 years old. She was born in Sanford, Colorado on March 13, 1926. She was the daughter of Penn Bertrand Mortensen and Bessie Florence Warnock. Jean married her sweetheart Edward Ray Wall, whom she called Dar, on October 8, 1948 in Logan, Utah. She has lived in Sanford, Colorado, Montague, California, Arvada, Colorado, Provo, Utah, Logan, Utah, and Ogden, Utah. She had a variety of jobs beginning with Arvada Dairy, Continental Airlines, Whitehouse Department Store, Columbia Steel Company, Federal Crop Insurance, Bureau of Reclamation, and Standard Examiner. She was a member of the LDS Church. She served in many callings, including Primary, Young Women, Relief Society President, and served in the Ogden Temple with her husband, Ed. She was an excellent cook and shared many of her delicious cinnamon rolls. Jean quilted and sold many of her beautiful quilts at Mormon Handicraft in Salt Lake City. She loved to sew and shared her talents with her family. Ed and Jean enjoyed ballroom and square dancing, their dinner groups, riding in Bob and Virginia's Model T, and camping in Logan Canyon. Jean is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ed of Ogden, Utah and her children: Kathleen (Floyd) LaFleur of Plain City, UT, Kenton (Mitzi) Wall of Farr West, UT, Ruby Ann Wall of Harrisville, UT, Susan (Eldon) Davis of West Warren, UT, JoLynn (Bob) Dickamore of Hooper, UT, David (DeAnn) Wall of Salt Lake City, UT, and Steve (Christy) Wall of Hooper, UT. Jean also has 33 grandchildren and 75 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, and a grandson, Phillip Ray Wall.
