Nickolas Mathew Isiah Montoya With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of Nickolas Mathew Montoya, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Nickolas left this world far too soon, but his legacy of love, strength, and generosity will live on in all who had the blessing of knowing him. Nickolas was a man of vibrant spirit—loud, strong, and full of life. Yet beneath his tough exterior was a heart of immeasurable kindness. He gave without hesitation, helped without question, and loved without condition. He treated everyone like family, offering guidance, support, and encouragement to anyone who needed it. Whether through his words or his actions, you could feel his heart in everything he did. Above all, Nickolas was a devoted family man. His love story with his wife, Jessica Leigh Montoya, was one of deep connection and enduring love. Together, they built a beautiful life and a family that was the center of his world. He was incredibly proud of the life they created and poured every ounce of himself into loving and raising their four children: Alexander Montoya (with Kaitlin Paine) Xavier Montoya (with Kortney Charnews) Hunter Rasmussen Kaileigh Rasmussen – his precious daughter, the blessing he always dreamed of and joyfully got later in life. Nickolas was also known for his unmatched work ethic. Whatever the task, he gave it his all. He never left a job undone and took great pride in being reliable, dependable, and driven. Through his work and his relationships, he left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Jessica, and his children Alexander, Xavier, Hunter, and Kaileigh. He is also survived by his mother, Olga Castillo-Luna (with Miguel Luna); his siblings: Antoine Montoya (with Ursula Montoya) Sergio Montoya (with Jami Montoya) Mario Montoya Isiah Montoya Adriana Montoya He leaves behind his cherished in-laws: William Matthews (with Angie Matthews) Stephen Matthews Michael Coombs (with Anna Coombs) and his mother-in-law, Terrie Matthews. Nickolas also held close his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family, each of whom brought him joy and love throughout his life. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Montoya; his grandparents, Modesto and Judy Montoya, Carmen Montoya, and Esperanza Castillo. Nickolas’s story is not over—it continues in every person he touched, in every memory we hold dear, and in the family that carries his legacy forward. Though his physical presence is gone, his spirit will live on in the laughter, love, and strength he gave to the world. A great man has left this earth, but he will never be forgotten. He will be remembered always—with love, with gratitude, and with hearts forever changed by his presence.
