Orvin Lowell Lemon Obituary (1922 - 2012)

Lowell Lemon WILLARD - Orvin Lowell Lemon passed away Friday evening, October 19, 2012 at his winter home in Washington, UT. He was born May 5, 1922 in Corinne, Utah to Orvin M and Edith Shaw Lemon. He was raised in Corinne and moved at age 18 to Willard where he lived the rest of his life. He graduated from Box Elder High School and attended Weber State. The love of his life is Lenora. They were married on August 12, 1948 in the Logan Temple, spending 64 years together working and traveling. They were inseparable. He loved his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lowell went to work at Hill AFB until he volunteered in the Air Force. He served in England during World War II as an aircraft mechanic. He was a successful farmer. Farming has been his life's work and he was never as happy as when he was farming. In later years he farmed on a smaller scale and his artistic side came out: woodworking, building bird houses, and making garden crows out of shovels. He served others all his life and was very active in the LDS Church serving as bishop, counselor, high councilman and in the Branch Presidency at Pioneer Care Center for 15 years. His love of the gospel was an example to all he met. Lowell is remembered with great love and admiration for all the things he accomplished in his life. He was an honorable man and we treasure his memory. We are grateful he was with us for so many years. To Lowell, Husband, Father, and Grandfather, we love you. Survived by wife, Lenora, children: Elizabeth (Eddie) Kulbacki, Richard Lemon, JoAnn (Richard) Day, Kent (Cathy) Lemon, Annette (Winston) Sales, and Marilyn Mike, 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one brother, Merlin Lemon. Preceded in death by daughter, Helen Marie, one grandson, one great-grandson, two sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be Friday, October 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Willard Peak Chapel, 665 W. 7615 S. Willard, UT. Friends may call Thursday, October 25 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E. Brigham City, and Friday 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the church. Interment in the Willard Cemetery.
