Pharol W. Jensen OGDEN - Pharol W. Jensen, 77, passed away March 17, 2009 surrounded by his family. Pharol was born September 17, 1931 to Florence Mae Williamson and Leo James Jensen. Pharol joined the Army and served in the Korean War. While in the military he was awarded the purple heart. Pharol married Yvonne Frandsen, on May 16, 1951 in Colorado Springs. He was a member of the LDS Church. Pharol loved fishing, hunting, camping and anything outdoors. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and above all Pharol loved his children and grandchildren more than life itself. Surviving are his wife Yvonne; children Lori K. Jensen, Ogden; Doug W. (Carla) Jensen, So. Ogden (Doug is currently serving in Afghanistan with the US Army Corp of Engineers); Dana R. (Rick) Hinds, No. Ogden and Kaley A. (Randy) Peterson , Morgan; a niece he considered a daughter, Jill Parajeckas of California; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister Orpha Thorton of California. Pharol was preceded in death by his parents and brother Don W. Jensen. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 20, 2009 at the Ogden City Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
