R. Glen Taggart Click here to listen to Funeral Recording OGDEN - Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Richard Glen Taggart, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 1, 2010. He was born on July 20, 1929, in Ogden, Utah to Ray Heiner Taggart and Margaret Lavon Pickett Taggart. He graduated from Ogden High School in 1947. Dad married his high school sweetheart, Sharol Braegger, on February 4, 1949, in the Salt Lake Temple. His greatest love is his wife of 61 years; their six children, Doug (Erin) of Liberty, Becky McBride of Plain City, Connie (David) Graves of Brigham City, Rick (Michelle) of Kaysville, Keith of Kaysville and Jill (Collin) Homer of Valley Springs, South Dakota; their 26 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren (3 more on the way ). Dad was a faithful and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the Gospel. He lived the Gospel. He and mom served a mission in Brisbane Australia from 1995-1997. A quiet and humble man of integrity and humor, he was a wonderful example to his family and an unfailing source of faith and love. He is survived by his wife and children, a brother, Jerry (Sheryl), sister, Cheryl (Ralph) Tenbrink and brother and sister- in- law Don and Jeanne Braegger. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in- law Dean and Marilyn Taggart and son-in-law Dennis McBride. Mom asks, in lieu of flowers, that you take your family out to dinner. We love you, dad! Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on December 4, 2010 at the Rock Cliff 6th Ward, 300 Gramercy, Ogden, Utah. There will be a viewing on Friday, December 3rd from 6 - 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah, also on Saturday prior to the services from 11:30-12:30 at the church.
