Thomas Arthur Branscomb, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, passed away on August 29, 2026. Tom was born on August 1, 1954, in Moline, IL, to Warren and Myrna Branscomb.
Tom was the kind of person who could make friends just about anywhere. He enjoyed being around people, telling stories and jokes, and was always willing to lend a hand when someone needed it.
Tom married the love of his life, Lindamarie DeHart in October 1984. Together they raised four children: Jeremiah, Valerie, Chelsea, and Skylar. He was a devoted husband and father who always made time for his family and their growth. Later in life, he put that same vigor into being a grandfather and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Aviation was one of Tom’s biggest passions. His father taught him to fly, and he went on to earn his pilot’s license. He attended Western Michigan University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in aviation and business management. Aviation became more than a career for him. It opened the door for a lifetime of travel.
But there was more to Tom than headings and altitudes. He loved live theater and music and had a real talent as a craftsman. He liked to sing and dance, and he enjoyed being the life of the party. As an Eagle Scout himself, Tom remained involved as a parent, passing along the same values of service, responsibility and self reliance.
Possessing a keen eye for potential, he recognized the utility in items others disregarded, and there was always something that kept him busy.
Tom lived a full and interesting life, and he left his family with plenty of stories to tell. He will be remembered for his love of aviation, creativity, sense of humor, service to others, and the many experiences he shared with the people around him.
Please join us for Tom’s Celebration of Life on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 12:30 - 2:00 pm at Beez Cafe; 5410 S. 1900 W. Roy, UT.
