Valoy Rae Loveland Obituary (1929 - 2017)

VaLoy Rae Anderson Linville Janes Peart Loveland, 88 passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in Ogden. VaLoy was born on September 27, 1929 in Brigham City, Utah a daughter of Leslie J. and Lola Thelma King Anderson. She attended Box Elder High School and graduated from Cosmetology School. VaLoy married Ralph P. Linville on September 2, 1952, their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple on January 29, 1975 he died December 11, 1973. She later married David Janes in November of 1983 in Brigham City, he died in 1990. VaLoy married Melvin Peart on January 29, 1997 in the Bountiful LDS Temple, he died July 23, 1998. She married Ardel Loveland July 10, 1999 in the Ogden LDS Temple, he died December 21, 2015. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she had held many callings. The one that she loved most was young women's president, she truly loved the girls. VaLoy was a hair stylist, then a telephone operator at Thiokol where she retired as the head operator. She loved to crochet and crocheted many afghans for family and friends. VaLoy loved her family very much, including all her husband's families once she called you family you were hers. Surviving are her son Phil (Trudy) Linville; step-daughter Nancy (Edward) VanGass; nine grandchildren and many children and grandchildren who joined her family through her marriages, her grandchildren lovingly referred to her as Grandma Alphabet. Also survived by her siblings: Geraldeen Garfield; Janet Hurren; Maxcine (Alan) Dumling and Delose Anderson. Preceded in death by her parents; brother Ralph O Anderson; step-father Marcellace Jones and her husbands. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City 4th Ward Chapel, 25 N. 300 E., Brigham City, UT. Viewings will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT and on Thursday from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
