Ilene Dixon Obituary (1905 - 2001)

OGDEN - Ilene, age 95, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2001 at her home. She was born December 14, 1905 in Willard, Utah, the 7th of eight children of Thomas Henry Davis and Ida Pauline Cordon. She married John Ross Wood on August 30, 1926 in Ogden, they were later divorced. She married Riley G. Dixon on October 16, 1944 in Pocatello, ID. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Grandview Acres Ward. She held numerous positions in the church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and embroidery; she loved to cook; and loved gardening and flowers. Surviving are one son and three daughters, John Ray (Kathryn) Wood, Sunset, UT; Jean Wood Dixon, Mesa, AZ; Joan Wood Gilbert, Ogden, UT; Judy Wood Davenport, Ogden, UT; 13 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and one sister, Phyllis Young, Ogden, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; one son-in-law; three sisters; three brothers; and one grandson.
