She was born April 30, 1918 in Fielding, Utah to Oliver Dewey and Cora Bell (Toler) Wood. Virgie lived in Fielding and Tremonton and graduated from Bear River High. Most of her life she lived in Slaterville. Virgie married Arthur Wayne Storrer August 9, 1939 in Tremonton, Utah, later solemnized in the LDS Temple. She was a member of the LDS Church and was active in the Relief Society. She loved fishing and gardening but family was her life. She worked at Hoffman Cleaners, Clifton's Dress Shop and retired from HAFB. Virgie is survived by her children, Gary (Connie), Jon (Joyce), Ted (Suzanne), Rick (Linda) and son-in-law, Jim Carrigan; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Arthur; her daughter, Gloria and grand-daughter, Alisa Walker. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Slaterville LDS Church, 250 N. 1500 W. A visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Myers Ogden Mortuary.
