Zelda Verna Gailey Easthope Obituary (1916 - 2004)

ZELDA VERNA GAILEY EASTHOPE ROY - Zelda Verna Gailey Easthope, 88, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden. She was born January 27, 1916 in Hooper, Utah, the daughter of Delbert Davis and Verna Lucinda Read Gailey. She married Golden Thurgood Easthope on November 19, 1937 in Farmington, Utah. Golden passed away September 15, 1997. Zelda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings, Relief Society Presidency, Primary Leader, and Librarian. Zelda enjoyed handicrafts, reading, sewing and time with her family. She is survived by her children: Loun (Karen) Easthope, St. George, Utah; Gaylene (Michael) Dee, Draper, Utah; Jerry (Kay) Easthope, West Point, Utah; Zona (Brad) Palmer, Mink Creek, Idaho; Arla (Jeff) Burchell, Roy, Utah; 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren with one on the way. Also surviving are six brothers and one sister. She was preceded in death by her husband Golden Thurgood Easthope, daughter Shana Compton, three brothers Charles Delbert Gailey, Wayne Hardy Gailey; Clyn D. Gailey and two sisters Venna and Janean Gailey.
