Adam Neil Shaffer - Born October 1st, 1976 in Logan, UT passed away due to COVID-19 complications on August 2nd, 2021.
Adam was a hardworking man with calloused hands and a gentle heart. His greatest joys were those of spending time with his children & grandson, being on the back of a horse, hunting, fishing, & anything that allowed him to be up in the mountains. A terrific horseman, Adam spent a large portion of his life on the back of a horse, and always claimed a second was never wasted in the saddle. Later in his life, he then became “Papa” to which he claimed was one of the best titles he ever held, second to that of being called “Dad”. He was a quiet soul but had so much love to give. He never hesitated to take the shirt off his back the second someone else needed it. Even through life’s struggles, Adam found at least one way to be positive. He was always ready to crack a joke or make a funny face, with that even starting at a young age. Through his rough exterior, was a comforting & kind man, and a great friend. Adam’s oldest brother, says that when Adam wanted to be your friend, there was no greater friend to be found in all the world, and this we have come to learn to be true.
Adam is survived by his parents, Clair & Jodie Shaffer. His children, Bryson (Catie) Shaffer, Kayla (Tyler) Lee, & first born grandson Weston Adam Shaffer. His grandmothers, Mary Louise Kay & Sandra Shaffer. Siblings - Shawn (Raelyn) Shaffer, Candy Shaffer, Paul (Tiffany) Shaffer, Tammie (Tyler) Hamilton, Jacob (Jessika) Shaffer. As well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rulon Sanford (Sandy) Kay, Parley J Shaffer, Florence Martin Shaffer, Neil M. Shaffer, Mary Lou Colson, Winnifred Hancey Ziegler, & Herbert Ziegler.
Adam loved his family & friends with all he had. We know he is currently saddling up to go for a ride with his grandfathers, while watching down on us today. We love you Adam. Thank you for the joy you brought to so many of those around you.
