Alden Lorenzo Farr, 85, passed away September 20, 2022. He was born December 18, 1936 in Tucson, Arizona to Asael L. and Vera Bowland Farr. Alden attended Lincoln Elementary, Mound Fort Junior High, and graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1956 they being the first class attending all 3 years at the new school. He married Ramona Jenson in the Logan Temple on September 25, 1957.
Alden served his country 2 years active duty with the army and 4 years in the reserves. He received his commercial pilots license while enjoying a private plane partnership for many years. He retired from Mt. Fuel/Questar after 32 years of service. An early retirement led to much fishing, hunting, and traveling the U.S. and all Canadian Provinces.
Alden was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including as a bishop and 1st counselor in the Mt. Fort stake presidency and many other callings in all the organizations. He had a strong testimony of the Savior, Jesus Christ and tried to be like him as he served. He was always willing to help and usually had the tool anyone needed.
Alden is survived by his wife and one son, Alden E. “Gene” (Cheryl) Farr; 4 grandchildren, Kristen (Andy) Davis, Sarah (Alex) Nelsen, Kelli (Kelton) Searle, and Jason; and 6 great grandchildren, Daphne, Charlie, Rocky, Daisy, Stetson, and Penny with another grandson on the way.
Alden was adamant that if you needed a funeral to tell people about you, they already had their own opinion! So, because of this we are honoring his wishes—there will be a graveside service only at the West Weber Cemetery, 4590 W. 950 N., West Weber, UT on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Myers Mortuary of Ogden.
