Barbara Anderson Obituary

Barbara Jean Waugh Anderson was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and a truer friend you could never find. She left this world on May 2, 2022

Barbara was born December 8, 1932, in Ashton, Idaho to William and Ethel Waugh. She had a wonderful upbringing with her two sisters: Ruth Marie Neimoyer (deceased) and Wilma Jeanette Williams (deceased). Barbara graduated from Burley High School in 1950 and married Eugene E. Anderson (deceased)

She loved music and started playing the piano at five years old. She also played the Alto Saxophone and was part of the swing band in high school. Barbara was an accomplished musician and filled her home with music, teaching all her children songs from every genre.  Music was one the family’s favorite past times. They would gather around the piano and sing songs from the Big Band era to the Top 40 with Barbara singing along and playing the piano.

Barbara had such a remarkable career in Radio and TV for over 15 years. She wrote commercials and sang on many of them. One of the highlights of her career was being the Idaho Radio Correspondent in the 1960 Presidential election. Her children remember watching her on TV.

After moving to Utah, she had several careers from Bookkeeping to being an IRS auditor for small businesses.

In addition to being a faithful loving friend; having friends for over 80 years, she was a remarkable Mother.  She had an uncanny ability to find happiness, even when the chips were down.  She had a personality that lit up the room, contagious to everyone she met.

She is survived by her children:  William A(Bill) Anderson of North Ogden, Utah (son) and Carla Anderson, daughter-in-law.  Nancy Gene Anderson Pratt of St Clair Shores, Michigan (daughter) and Janet Lee Anderson Rodabaugh of Beaver Dam, Az (daughter) and John Rodabaugh. P, son- in- law and Robert Matthew Anderson (son) deceased.

She loved her Grandchildren: Joshua Michael Twitchell (deceased), Christopher David Pratt of Grosse Pointe Park, MI, Jami Christine Jacque of Honeyville, Utah, Heather Nicole Beever of Kaysville, Utah and Tiffanie Michelle Anderson of Salt Lake City, Utah.

She had 8 Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandchild.
