He was a long-time Brigham City native, and proud of his heritage. His love for Brigham City ran deep. He worked at the family business, Merrell’s Lumber, through high school and college, and was known for his strong work ethic. Bruce was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married his high school sweetheart, Sherri Sherratt, in the Ogden Utah Temple on June 24th, 1972. Bruce was a family man and was proud of his posterity. His selflessness and loyalty to them knew no bounds. He prioritized his family above all, and his greatest joy came from spending time together.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and his love for the great outdoors was contagious. Bruce was a converted BYU Football Fan later in life and could often be found cheering on the Cougars with his kids and grandkids.
