Carl Gene Johnson

With a heart full of cherished memories, we announce the passing of Carl Gene Johnson. Born on September 10, 1946, in Pittsburg, CA, Carl's life was a remarkable tapestry of love, laughter, and dedication. He was a beacon of strength and resilience, sprinkling joy and wisdom throughout his life, which ended on August 8, 2023 in Taylorsville, UT. Carl proudly served in the United States Air Force as a weapons loader until 1972, when he was honorably discharged. He went on to become a skilled HVAC Installation Maintenance worker and proud union member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 140. He enjoyed his retirement, where he could travel, relax, and spend time with family and friends. Carl is survived by a loving family, including the love of his life, Vachara Boonlom Johnson; his son, William ; daughter, Catharine (Jim) ; cherished grandchildren, James (Destiny) and Cheyanne (Dominique) ; as well as four great grandchildren, Jackson, Elizabeth, Aubrey and Emily. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Verden Johnson and Opal Violet Collins. We invite you to honor Carl's memory by attending a daily 6 P.M. prayer on August 17th, 18th and 19th, at Wat Chaimongkolvararam 402 Wall Ave, Ogden, UT 84404. Final viewing and services will begin on August 20th at 12 P.M. at Myers Mortuary 845 S. Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84404. We love you, daddy.
