Charles David Foote passed away peacefully on January 4, 2022. He was born March 15, 1944 in Sandpoint, Idaho. He was the oldest of eleven children born to Don Carlos and Rosetta Housekeeper Foote.
Growing up in Utah, he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and he faithfully served in various other callings. He enjoyed doing temple and family history work. Charles is proudly recognition of thirty years Air Force Federal Service in the Government of the United States of America while concurrently serving in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, then in the Navy and Air Force Reserves. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, gardening, helping family, friends, and neighbors with their home projects.
He married Jean Brooking on July 5, 1968. Together they had four children and divorced in 1989. He was then sealed to Delva in the Idaho Falls Temple; they were later divorced.
He is survived by his sons, David (Michelle), John and Doug; daughter, Cindy (Tom) Arnold; siblings, Lorraine, Joyce, Lily, Jay, Jesse, Duane; and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Arnold, Larry, Dean, and Dale.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Park West Ward Chapel, 1715 West 1600 North, Layton, Utah. Family and friends may gather prior from 9:30-10:30 a.m. for a viewing. Interment will be 2:00 p.m. at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah, where military honors will be accorded.
