Cheri Louise (Hancey) Jorgensen

Cheri Louise Jorgensen was born on January 29, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Denzil and Delta Hancey. Cheri returned to her Father in Heaven on September 2, 2023.
Cheri married Blaine L’Ray Jorgensen on April 13, 1962 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had six beautiful children together.
Cheri worked as a preschool teachers aid for many years for head-start programs. She enjoyed teaching kids and listening to them read. Cheri enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking and candy making. She was a fabulous cook with the most delicious recipes and a great seamstress that made all kinds of things for her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful woman with many talents, but she most loved spending time with and caring for her family.
Cheri is survived by her husband Blaine L’Ray Jorgensen; her six children Cheryl Bunn (Ken), Brett Jorgensen (Nancy), Traci Jorgensen, Jodi Jorgensen, Jaysen Jorgensen (Stephanie) and Krystal Woodruff (Vern). She is also survived by her grandchildren Derek, Kaelen, Alex (Ainsley), Liam, Josh, Wyatt (Brian), Brennan, Allie, Tailie (Keaton) and Sam. She is also survived by several grand fur-babies and great grand fur babies. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kiera Jorgensen.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 6-8pm at Myer’s Mortuary, 5865 S 1900 W in Roy, Utah 84067. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 11:00 am with a viewing just prior from 9:30-10:30 am also at Myers Mortuary in Roy, Utah.
Interment at Hooper Cemetery.
