Cheryl Alex Byrd, a longstanding resident of Brigham City, Utah, and a pillar of love and support, passed away on September 4, 2023. Born in Brigham City, UT, on February 15, 1966, Cheryl lived a life filled with love, resilience, and creativity. Whether she was building Legos, reading, crafting, or most importantly, spending time with her beloved grandchildren, Cheryl's presence was a source of comfort and joy to all who knew her.
Cheryl dedicated 25 years of her life to Flying J/Pilot, demonstrating her strength of character and resilience. Despite the challenges she faced, Cheryl never failed to put her family first. Her supportive nature and loving heart made her a rock for her family. Her creativity was reflected in her hobbies, which brought her immense joy and allowed her to share special moments with her grandchildren.
Cheryl leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her children, Amberlynn Averett and Timothy Renteria; her uncle, Rios Pacheco; her daughter, Maria Anderson; and her grandchildren, Cierja Anderson, Anthoni Anderson, Julian Renteria, Isaac Averett, Elizabeth Cropper, Kailah Renteria, Emmitt Harper, and Timmy Harper. She is preceded in death by her father, Joe Alex; her mother, Merilyn Jensen; and her sons, Nickalaus and Anthoni Renteria.
Cheryl's legacy of love and resilience will continue to live on through her family. Her light may have dimmed in this world, but it will always shine bright in the hearts of those she loved. We encourage all who knew Cheryl to share their memories and upload photos to her memorial page. Your stories and pictures will serve as a comforting reminder of the beautiful life Cheryl lived.

Cheryl's viewing will be held Friday September 8, 2023 from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City, UT. Followed by a graveside service at 12:00 p.m. where she will be laid to rest at Washakie Cemetery, 8600 West 24000 North Portage, UT.
Anyone planning on attending the graveside service will want to wear outdoor appropriate shoes.
