OGDEN – Cheryl Denise Wilson-Hood went home to our Heavenly Father on September 24, 2001 to join His rank of Angels.

Cheryl was born on June 28, 1952 in Vallejo, California to Neal and Eddie Mae Wilson.

She graduated from High School in California and attended Weber State University. Cheryl met and married Alvin Hood, they enjoyed a loving relationship for ten years.

She was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church, where she was very dedicated in her church service.

She was very active in many community boards and organizations, including the YCC, American Heart Association and the Junior League. She especially enjoyed helping with fundraisers, Real Men Can Cook and The Sub for Santa program.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Surviving are her husband, Alvin Hood; her mother, Eddie May (LeLand) Harris; grandmother, Velma Saunders; seven daughters, LaTanyia Cherice (James) Jacobs, Tameeka Monique, Candace, Lisa, April, Rachel, a foster daughter, Cindy; three sons, Faron Hand, Casey Ayala, Miguel Perez; niece, Daphine Rock; five grandchildren, Anastasia, Indya, Rodrick, Deshon, Giya, and Camri, and two on the way, DeMarco and Jordin. Also surviving are one brother and two sisters, Toni Wilson, Val Marie Harris, Tyron Wilson; and her very close friends, Pat Gordon, Cindy Gates, Jodi Gilmore, and Elissa Davidson.

She was preceded in death by her father.
