Clay Byington was born June 19, 1968 in Ogden the son of Roy and Margene Byington of Riverdale.

Clay is survived by two brothers, Scott (Jessica) of Kaysville and Todd (Lauren) of Albuquerque, NM and two sisters, Kristee Maes (Steve) of Albuquerque, NM and Holly Matyi (Jason) of Woods Cross. Clay also has 7 nieces and 1 nephew who he loved and who loved him dearly.

Clay loved the outdoors. He loved camping, fishing, and hiking. He enjoyed tinkering with things and creating art work and thrift store shopping. Clay loved animals, especially dogs. Most of all he loved spending time with his nieces and nephew.

He graduated from El Dorado High School in Albuquerque, NM. He was an Eagle Scout.
He graduated from the ATC in Ogden for Industrial Automation Maintenance. He was employed at Cap Stone in Ogden, Utah.

Clay was married to Suzanne Capener of Ogden and later divorced

Clay was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission to Ireland.

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Funeral Services will be held at the Riverdale 6th Ward Church, 4000 Parker Drive on Saturday, November 11th at 1 p.m. with a viewing prior from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.
