Clifford John Moody

Clifford John Moody, beloved father and son, passed away Friday, March 25, 2005 at his home.

John was born April 4, 1945 in Florence, So. Carolina, the oldest son of Clifford C. Moody and Vera Jean (Jean) Cozad. He graduated from Weber High in 1963.

He married Marlene Ann Jimeniez, February 9, 1964. They had two sons and were later divorced.

He worked at various occupations in the Weber County Community and served his country in the Marine Corps Reserves.

His passion was auto racing and he excelled in many aspects of the local racing circuit. He won many awards including four years as mechanic of the year. The last team he ran with was “Bozo’s Auto Wrecking” out of Salt Lake City.

Since 1983, John has been a quadriplegic but still continued his activities on the racing circuit, was an avid supporter of the Americans With Disabilities Act and played basketball with the Ogden Outlaws.

John is survived by his sons, Clifford Jim (Debbie) Moody, Ogden; Robert James (Ellerena) Moody of Dodge City, Kansas; mother, Jean Moody, Ogden; four brothers, Gerald Lee (Ilene) Moody, Dodge City, Kansas; James Edward Moody, Dennis Jay (Laura) Moody and Leo Allen Moody, all of Ogden; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; Jasmine, a pseudo-grandchild, and multiple nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.
