Coleta (Barnes) Horspool

Coleta Barnes Horspool, 86, passed away October 6, 2021. She was born March 23, 1935 in Ogden, Utah the daughter of Viola May Garner and Horace Archie Barnes Sr. Coleta married Glen Richard Horspool on July 13, 1951; they were sealed in the Logan Temple December 9, 1963.

Coleta was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a Humanitarian mission in Ogden.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, traveling and going to the temple. But most of all she enjoyed her family.

Coleta is survived by her children Roxan Harris (Mike), Jackie Willits (Gene), Michelle Horspool, Peggy Keele, Gae Dayton (Curt (deceased) and Vicki Bowden (Dennis); daughter-in-law Maria Horspool; 16 grandchildren; 36 great- grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Glen; sons, Glen and Michael; parents Horace and Viola Barnes; brother Archie Barnes and sister Jean Hansen.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden where viewings will be held on Wednesday, October 13th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment in the Ogden City Cemetery.
