Corinne Dean Neil returned to her Heavenly Father to be reunited with her husband of 67 years on Thursday, May 2, 2019. She was born at home on December 2, 1926 in Rexburg “Burton”, Idaho to Laura C. Janson and William F. Curtis. She married Billy Jay Neil in Ogden on April 17, 1948 and later were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on October 1, 1962. They had 2 children Blake (Kathy) Neil and Tamara (John) Schaff and the late Rex L. Schenck.

After moving to Utah, Corinne worked as a secretary until she became a mother. Later she co-owned a nursing home with her only sibling (Colleen Smith who still resides in Ogden) to care for their ailing mother. Corinne was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in multiple callings, including Relief Society President, Primary President, and later in life as a Visiting Teaching Coordinator. She took great pride in visiting with the many sisters in her neighborhood and getting to know them each individually.

Corinne had a great love for flowers and spent hours upon hours working in the yard tending her peonies and fruit trees. One of Corinne’s greatest joys was her family. She had 6 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 16 step-great-grandchildren. You would never meet anyone more loving, giving or unselfish as she was to those that loved her. She loved to spend time reading with the great-grandkids, playing all kinds of games, and going on family trips! She had a sense of adventure and was the first to volunteer to go with the grandkids on any roller coaster or a quick ride behind the boat.

We will miss her dearly, but those that truly knew her will always hold a special place in their hearts for the great legacy she leaves behind.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7th at the North Ogden 24th Ward, 1150 E 2600 N, North Ogden. Interment, Washington Heights Memorial Park.
