Daisy L. Eason, 94, passed away September 21, 2022. Daisy was born June 11, 1928 in Brookhaven, MS to Jimmy and Mary Watkins. She attended Weber College to study to be an aircraft mechanic. Daisy was married to Sidney Kelley, Isaac Burks, George Causey, and James Eason who all preceded her in death.
Daisy retired from HAFB and Clearfield Job Corps (Management & Training Corporation). She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church for several years and worked in the ladies, children, and missionary department. She then attended Second Baptist Church and worked in the missionary department. She was on the “watch care” of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Daisy liked doing arts and crafts, going to the pool, but most of all she loved working with people and helping them. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was loved by everyone.
Daisy is survived by her children Dorothy (Herman) Mitchell, Mary Fairman, Elizabeth Stafford, Connie (Steven-deceased) House, Brenda Burks, Isaac Neil (Lillian) Burks, Kathryn A. Causey, Sheila (David) Santos, and Sharon Evans; 23 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 9 great, great grandchildren; and her sister, Laura Mae DeVore. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 2 children, Jeanette Buie and Dornise F. Green; and 2 sisters, Lorraine Warwick and Josephine Lindsey.
Funeral services for Daisy will be held Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, 227 27th Street, Ogden, Utah. A viewing will be held the evening prior, Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary of Layton, 250 North Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah. Daisy will be laid to rest at Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 East 2850 North, North Ogden, Utah.
