David Wray Hackett, 57, passed away Oct. 2, 2019 following an earlier motorcycle accident. He was born Nov. 16, 1961 in St. Louis Park, MN to Stanley J. Hackett and Joanne Arlene Schorr.
He grew up in Hopkins, MN. and graduated from Lindbergh High School. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, then moved to Utah where he studied Police Sciences at Weber State.
David married Lisa Kay Bennett Klepzig on July 27. 2002 in the Ogden Temple. He whistled as he worked, loved to go dancing, loved children, dogs and being outdoors. David loved to help people, and as such, chose to be an organ donor.
He is survived by his wife Lisa, son- Lukas, step-son- Jordan Klepzig, daughter- Victoria – from a previous marriage, brothers Dean (Laurie) Hackett, Steven Hackett, Brothers in law Jeremy (Raquel) Bennett, Jason (Jami) Bennett, Jonathan (Nickie Ann) Bennett, James (Victoria) Bennett and many nieces, nephews and friends- too many to name.
David was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Susan Buckley.
