David Ormsbee Obituary

David Garret Ormsbee was born April 12, 1970, in Caldwell Idaho to Ricky Lee Ormsbee and Deborah Gail Baker. He was raised in Lakewood Colorado where he welcomed his younger brother, Mathew Ormsbee and sister, Carrie Ormsbee. He graduated from Green Mountain High School before attending Metro State College and eventually crossing over to Colorado Aero Tech.

He married his other half, Shawna Fisher, in March of 1992, before enlisting in the United States Air Force as a Munitions Systems Specialist.

He was soon stationed at McChord Air Force Base, Washington. With him went their oldest son, Cody Duane Warnken; daughter, Krista Marie Fisher-Igel; and son, Zackary Garret Ormsbee. There they welcomed their youngest, Ricky David-Lee Ormsbee.

He was soon transferred to Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, and on to Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. Here he deployed to Kunsan Air Base in South Korea.

While in New Mexico he pursed one of his passions of Racing in Official SCCA Races with his home-built racecar.

He was then reassigned to Hill Air Force Base in Utah, as part of the 388th Munitions Squadron Where he eventually retired after 22 years of Honorable service at the Rank of Technical Sergeant.

He would go on to get a job back on Hill Air Force Base and move around before finding the perfect fit for him at the Ogden Air Logistic Complex as a General Supply Specialist. Here his primary mission was to research, acquire, and distribute critical repair materials to the maintainers assigned to the 309th Maintenance Support Group.

David was a dedicated Husband, Father, Uncle, and Friend. He gave as much as he could to everything he did. Often endearingly referred to as “Super Dave” he would not let anyone work alone as he would always lend a hand.

He is survived by his wife, Shawna Ormsbee; and his three sons, Cody Warnken, Zackary Ormsbee, and Ricky Ormsbee; as well as his daughter-in-law, Kierra Warnken; and five grandkids, Madisyn and Alexa Devaul, Oakley and Jaxson Warnken, and Aspen Sweeney. His mother, Deborah Ormsbee; and his sister, and brother-in-law, Carrie and Brandon Snell.

He is met by his grandfather and grandmother, Leland and Edna Ormsbee;  his  father, Ricky Lee Ormsbee; his uncle, Michael Ormsbee; his brother, Mathew Ormsbee; and daughter, Krista Marie Fisher-Igel.

He will be loved and missed by all.
