David Spencer (73) went home peacefully to be with our Lord on September 15, 2023, surrounded by his family after a valiant battle with Neuroendocrine Cancer.
Dave was born on January 29, 1950, to Robert and Nadine Spencer. He grew up in West Haven and later moved to Ogden. He was a respected, dedicated, and hardworking man. Dave founded and operated his own construction company, D&L Spencer Inc., from 1971-2000 and built many homes along the Wasatch front. Later in life, he worked for 14 years as a facilities manager for a local credit union.
In 1986, Dave married Angela Cattelan. They welcomed two daughters during their 13 years together.
Dave was a man of adventure. In his early years, he enjoyed everything from riding horses on his family farm to racing dirt bikes with his brothers. He loved boating and fishing and took his daughters on many memorable camping trips in the "Lindy." He loved to travel. Dave was well known for his quick wit and funny personality. He lived a full and happy life.
His love for the outdoors was only surpassed by the love he had for his family. His biggest pride and joy were his grandchildren. He kept every card, letter, or hand drawn picture. Leaving the walls of his home, a colorful display of love.
Others may have given up after being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, but Dave never stopped fighting for more time with his family. Setting a true example to all around him to cherish every last moment. He will be deeply and forever missed.
David is survived by his daughters; Shalyse (Thomas) Simpson and Natalee (RyLee) Watson.
Four grandchildren; Alec, Saige, Ridge, Chloe. And his loving companion Sharlinn Webb.
Friends and family are invited to attend an open house Celebration of Life on Tuesday, September 26th from 6:00pm- 8:00pm at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84404.
