Obituary

DONNA JONES BEUS

Our sweet, kind mother passed away March 28th in Layton surrounded by her loving family. Mom survived numerous heart surgeries and health issues. We lovingly called her our Energizer Bunny. She was such an inspiration to our family and we will all deeply miss her, but we take comfort knowing she is reunited with her "Sweetheart".

Mom was born March 12th 1936 in Hooper Utah to Flora and Harold Minor Jones. Mom married her best friend, Val Dee Beus, in the Salt lake Temple September 5th 1951. Together they shared 44 wonderful years of love and devotion to each other. From this loving union they raised 5 children in Clinton Utah and later moved to Roy.

Mom was a faithful member of the LDS church and held numerous positions. She had a great love for her Savior and deep faith of the gospel. Mom had a passion for genealogy, family history and Temple work. She was an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She made over 400 quilts that she helped delivered to the Navajo Santa project on the Indian Reservation. Mom lovingly cared for our Father and Grandma Beus for many years and was a special friend to many.

She was a devoted Grandma and Great Grandma, never missed a birthday or anniversary. Her Thanksgiving bingo parties were not to be missed, and we promised mom that we would carry on her Thanksgiving Tradition.

She is survived by Debbie and Scott Conley, Duane and Cathy Beus, Sharyl and Rich Noble, Russell and Sherrie Beus, Brent and Michelle Beus. She was "Grams" to 18 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren, and foster Navajo daughter Harriett Tso. Sisters, Beth Widdison, Melba and Mike McCowan, Linda and Paul Hackworth, Sandy and Rick Jackson, Brother Harold Ray and Bonnie Jones.

She was preceded in death by her husband Val Dee Beus, parents Harold Minor and Flora Jones, sister Shirley Gibson and granddaughter Minon Noble.

Special thanks to Dr. Gary Christensen, Dr. Dwight Rigby, Dr. Glen Biddulph.
