Donna Rae (Jacobs) Thompson

Donna Rae Thompson, 90, of Payson Utah, passed away June 13th, 2022.  She was under the loving care of her family and Suncrest Hospice.

Donna was born Jan 24th, 1932, in Boise Idaho, to Olin Floyd and Kate Leatham Jacobs.  She grew up in Boise and Twin Falls Idaho with her siblings Keith, Virgil, and Joyce. 

On September 4th, 1949, she married Alvon (Al) Thompson in Twin Falls, Idaho.  Al and Donna have 5 children: Penny, Gregory, Tressa, Tracy and Jenny.  They raised their family in Kimberly Idaho, Ogden Utah and Montrose Colorado.  They later retired to Grand Junction Colorado and then Payson Utah.

Donna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She enjoyed serving in numerous church callings.  Her favorite service was raising her family all of whom she was very proud of and loved dearly.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Penny (Rodney) Southwick of Payson UT; Tressa (Keith) Heil of Willard UT; Tracy (Greg) Caddy of Farmington NM; and Jenny (Troy) Krebs of Grand Junction CO; and her sister Joyce (Kenneth) Miller of Idaho Falls. 

Donna has 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, loving husband, son Gregory Thompson and grandson Gregory Southwick.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the Roy Cemetery, 5250 South, 2300 West.  There will be a family only viewing prior to services at Myers Mortuary in Roy Utah, 5865 S 1900 W.
