Gaylene Mona (Cooper) Hansen

Gaylene Mona Hansen, born on February 9, 1939, in Murray, UT, passed away on May 24, 2023. A loving wife, mother, and friend, Gaylene's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family, her career, and her passions. Married to Neal Hansen on June 27, 1957, they shared a love story that spanned over six decades, raising two sons, Kirk and Greg, in their hometown of North Ogden, Utah.

With an innate talent for balance, Gaylene managed to successfully nurture her family while maintaining a career at the IRS. Her devotion to her children was inspiring, and her love for them was boundless.

As a young woman, Gaylene's grace and elegance shone through her passion for ballet, and this love for beauty extended to her hobbies later in life. An avid reader, skilled ceramicist, and golfer, Gaylene took great pride in her garden, cultivating a vibrant array of flowers that reflected her own radiant spirit. As a member of the Ladies Golf Club at the White Barn, she formed lasting friendships and enjoyed many memorable moments on the course.

Gaylene is survived by her loving husband, Neal; her sons, Kirk (Jaymie) and Greg; and their families. She especially loved her grandchildren, Tori, Dayne and Dylan. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Kerri Lee, her father and mother, Lewis and Hazel Cooper.

A graveside service will be held in her honor on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 E. 2850 N. North Ogden, Utah, 84414.
