Gerald Barker

Gerald Barker passed away on March 11, 2023, in Ogden, Utah. He was born August 3, 1934, in North Ogden, Utah one of 10 children. His parents were John RL and Florence Barker.

Gerald was married to Lynette Joy Thredgold in the Salt Lake City temple on June 14, 1956. He had three sons, and one daughter, Kerry (LeeAnn), Dexter, Brad (Kris) Candee,10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Jerry was a very hard worker throughout his life. He was a flooring and countertop contractor. His example of hard work and a job well done was passed on to his children. He played the drums in a dance band for 17 years early in his adult life. He enjoyed fishing with his dad and sons. His was a great storyteller which he also passed on to his children. He was the BEST grandpa on the planet.

Jerry was always interested in what his grandchildren were doing and listened intently to what they had to say, each of them was important to him. He was married to LaRee Barker for 26 years after the passing of his first wife. They went on several fun trips together.

A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on March 18, 2023, at the Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery, 100 North Monroe Blvd. in Ogden Utah with a celebration of life following at 11 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints building located at 435 N. Jackson Ave. Everyone is welcome.
