Glenn Vincent Ballard Jr., age 69, returned to our loving Heavenly Father and his Savior on Friday, January 27th 2023. He had many loved ones to meet him including his parents, grandparents and friends. He was born September 14th, 1953, in Ogden, Weber County, Utah.
Glenn was an avid gun enthusiast and reloaded his own ammunition. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and was an excellent amateur photographer. He graduated from Bonneville High School in 1971 and attended Weber State College. He earned an Automotive Transmission Repair Certificate and attended other classes. He worked for Williams International and toward the end of his working career at the Ogden LDS Institute.
He was a great support to his family, caring for his mother and father as they aged. He has also been a great support to his sister, and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews and their children. Glenn suffered for many years with physical pain and debilitation due to various medical conditions. His death was a blessing and long awaited release from the trials of mortality.
His parents, Glenn Vincent Ballard Sr. and Wilma Eunice Hegstrom preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister, Susan Jeppesen; her husband, Bob; four nieces and nephews, Kenneth Jeppesen (Heidi), Andrew Jeppesen, Kathryn Longhurst (Justin), Rachel Sorensen (Scott); and eight grand-nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Friday, February 3rd, 2023 at the South Ogden 4th Ward Chapel, located at 4075 Orchard Ave. in South Ogden, Utah. A viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Washington Heights Memorial Cemetery at 4500 Washington Blvd. Ogden, Utah.
