Gregory Richard Myers

Greg Myers returned home to his loving Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 5, 2022 of pneumonia. He was born on June 19, 1955, to Richard E. and Gloria Ann Jorgensen Myers, in Ogden, Utah.

He graduated from Weber High School. He attended Weber State College and the University of Minnesota.

Greg is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and he served in many callings in the church.

He married Suzanne Hartman on May 13, 1977. They were married for 45 wonderful years.

Greg was the President and owner of Myers Mortuary of Brigham City and was an outstanding funeral director.  He loved serving the families of Box Elder County at their greatest time of need. Through his kind professionalism, he made many life-long friends. His caring personality, friendly smile, witty sense of humor and his devotion to service above self will be deeply missed in our community.  

Greg was a member of the Brigham City Kiwanis Club for many years and he enjoyed  organizing and running many charitable golf tournaments. He was a member of Rotary, the Brigham City Chamber of Commerce, the Red Cross and he served on the board of directors for the Utah Funeral Directors Association. 

Greg's passions in life were golf and spending time with his family. For many years, he has been a great care-taker to his wife, Suzanne, and a huge supporter of his family. He enjoyed playing card games with family and friends. He was always willing to give service to others. He would often watch sports, especially basketball - his two favorites were the NCAA and the Utah Jazz. He loved to travel and dance. He was a dance instructor at Arthur Murray.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Myers.

He is survived by his mother: Gloria Myers; wife: Suzanne; sons: Matthew Myers, Marcus Myers, Scott Myers; siblings: Shaun (Christina) Myers, Teri Brown; 7 grandchildren: Emma Myers, Jacob Myers, Savannah Myers, Brytenne Myers, Averie Myers, Jackson Myers, and Maddy Myers; nephew: Zachery Brown.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Brigham City Box Elder Stake Center, 420 South 800 West, Brigham City, Utah. Viewings will be held the night before on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and prior to the service from 10:30 – 12:30, both at Myers Mortuary, 205 S 100 E, Brigham City, Utah. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
