Howard Deon Nelson

Howard Deon Nelson, 81, passed away on November 23, 2021. He was born on January 16, 1940 to Vaughn and Veda Nelson in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was the 3rd of 13 children.

He worked on the family farm growing up and graduated from Rigby High School in 1959. In 1961, he joined the Army and was stationed in Germany.

Howard married his sweetheart in April 1965 and raised 6 children: Carl, Marvin (Michelle), Kristeen (David), Laura (deceased), Denise and Glenn.

He retired after 35 years from the Union Pacific Railroad.

Howard loved to travel and spend time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, his wife and daughter.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2021 11:00 AM with a viewing prior 9:30-10:30 AM at Roy 16th Ward, 4524 S 2525 W Roy, Utah. A viewing will be held Monday, November 29, 2021, 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Myers mortuary 5865 S 1900 W Roy, Utah.
