James Collin Sheridan passed away quietly at home in Brigham City on 4 February 2018. He was born on 15 October 1942 to Prudence (Penny) Ann Wood and Harold Henry Pett. Penny later divorced and Collin took on the name of his stepfather, Joseph Thomas Sheridan. After a second divorce, Penny married Maurice Luther Reeder on 27 August 1953 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Collin and his three brothers were sealed to Penny, Maurice and his two sons. He became part of a combined family of 12 children on the family farm west of Brigham City. He spent several of his high school years living with his Aunt Elaine and Uncle Ted Barnes in Ojai, CA. He was owner of the Marble Shop in Brigham City and later Sheridan tile in Oxnard, CA and was considered a master craftsmen of tile & marble. He was very creative and could build anything with his hands and often helped families with any kind of work or handy job they needed. He married Dorothy Manning in 1963 and together they raised 4 children. They were sealed as a family in the Ogden Temple on July 7, 1977. Collin loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved a good hunting dog and spent many days hunting pheasants on Reeder Ranch. He was a volunteer fireman in Brigham City and was on the Search & Rescue Scuba Team. His long marriage to Dorothy ended in 1988 and he moved back to California. He later married Ann Lassiter and they were together until she died in July of 2012. Collin moved back to Brigham City for his last years and loved to attend all the family events. He was a charismatic lover of people and was always happy and fun to be around. He could make friends with anyone in a few minutes. He could light up any room with his stories and laughter and he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his four children Angela Sloan, Syracuse, Todd Sheridan (Shauna), Pleasant Grove, Jeremy Sheridan, Farmington, and Krystal Wagner (Dan), his 11 grandchildren Tyler Sloan, Shaylee Sloan, Mark Sloan, Tanner Sloan, Kolby Robinson, Andrew Sheridan (Ryn), Natalia Sheridan, Nicole Sheridan, Shaun Sheridan, Jesse Wagner, Kaiden Wagner, and two great grandchildren, Wynter Quijada & Skyy Howard. He is also survived by his siblings, Merlin (Jacquie) Reeder, Duane (Melva) Reeder, Phil Reeder, Martin (Stacey) Reeder, Jan (Hank) Dovey, Reuel (Ivy Marie) Reeder, Chris (Crystal) Reeder, and Rebecca (Kelly) Andrew.
