Janet Edna (Montgomery) Kersey

Our loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Janet Edna Kersey, passed away July 30, 2022. She was born July 3, 1943 in Ogden, UT to James and Barbara Montgomery.

Janet was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1961.  She attended Weber State College where she was a member of the sorority sisters of Beta Signa Phi that same year. She married Jerry Kersey on February 16, 1990. She worked as a tax accountant for the IRS and retired after 28 years of service. She was also a member of the Wasatch Rods and Customs Club for many years.

Janet enjoyed many different hobbies, crocheting, crafties, motor homing, car shows, hunting, fishing, doll collecting, yard sales, secondhand stores, and she was an avid romance novel reader.

Janet is survived by her husband Jerry Kersey; children, Vincent (Kathy) Coltron, Sherry Kersey, and Mike (Amy) Kersey; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Scott and Alan Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Debbie Warner.

Funeral services for Janet will be Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11:00 am at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT with viewings held Friday, August 5, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturday prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Janet will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd., Ogden, UT.
