Jeanette M George

Jeanette M. George, 87, departed this life on November 14, 2023. Born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on November 11, 1936, to Frank McDonald and Lorraine Henroid, Jeanette was a dedicated daughter, wife, and mother to her loving family. Her journey led her from her birthplace to various cities including Tucson, Arizona, Ogden, Utah, Layton, Utah, and finally, Clearfield, Utah, where she spent her final years.

Jeanette was a devoted wife to her husband, Henry D. George, whom she married on September 28, 1955. She retired from a fulfilling career as a Tech Order Clerk at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, serving in the Department of Defense. However, Jeanette's true passion lay in the realm of homemaking. She adored being a wife and mother. Cooking, baking, cleaning, and doing things to make others happy were her favorite pastimes. Above all, what mattered most to Jeanette was her family.

Jeanette is survived by her daughters, Linda Fischer (Randy) and Sharon George; son, Dale George (Cindy); grandsons, Josh Fischer (Samantha) and Tyler Fischer (Vanessa); great-grandchildren, Clay and Mya Fischer, and a new great-grandson due in December; many other relatives and friends.

Jeanette was a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers. She also loved Major League Baseball and huge Nascar fan. Her favorite treat was a chocolate shake.

Jeanette's faith was an integral part of her life. She attended Bible study and worship services regularly. In the spirit of 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith," Jeanette indeed kept her faith and lived a life full of love and dedication to her family and God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 20, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 250 North Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 South Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah.
