Jeremy Ray Smothers

Jeremy Ray Smothers, 44, of Centerville, Utah passed away on 09/11/2023 at Lakeview Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.

     He was born in Ogden, Utah on 03/01/1979 to Kristine Beck (Smothers) Veibell and Timmy Smothers. Jeremy graduated from Layton High School, attended HVAC training and became very proficient in that field. He worked for several HVAC companies and then for Atlas Mechanical which is where he was happily employed at the time of his passing.

     Jeremy was a big-hearted gentle giant that was always ready and willing to help anyone with anything, he worked nonstop helping and taking care of others but never had a selfish thought about himself, this world is going to be a very dark place without his darling smile, sense of humor, big heart and bear hugs.

     Jeremy was preceded in death by his father, Timmy Smothers, his stepfather Lyle Veibell, his grandparents Earl and Elva Beck and Raymond and Corrine Smothers and many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his mother Kristine Veibell, his son Dominick (Megan) Smothers, his stepbrother Cole Veibell, and the love of his life and fiancé Mindy Anderson, his future stepsons Austin, Hunter, Connor, and his bonus grandsons Ezekiel and Liam. He is also survived by his aunt Machelle (Ken) Thornock who he was like a son to, and his nieces that were more like siblings Shannon and Kendell as well as several other extended family members that will miss him dearly.

     A viewing will be held on 09/22/2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Myers’s Mortuary at 845 Washington Blvd in Ogden. Graveside Services will be held 09/23/2023 at 1:00 pm at Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street in Ogden.
