Jose “Joe” Dominguez, a loving, funny, adventurous, and humble man, passed away on May 28, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of joy and cherished memories. Born on August 4, 1987, in Los Angeles, CA, Joe was a vibrant and passionate individual who brought warmth and laughter to those around him. Known affectionately by his friends and family as "Big Joe" or "Gordo," his infectious smile and generous spirit lit up any room he entered.

Joe was a skilled laborer in the construction industry, where he worked diligently for many years. He was known for his incredible work ethic and dedication to his craft. Though separated, Joe was married to Vallery Dominguez, and together they raised three beautiful daughters: Gia, Jaylynn, and Jazelle. Joe's love for his family was unwavering, and he took great pride in his family.

Always embracing life with open arms, Joe had a wide range of hobbies and interests. He was a talented artist who loved to draw, and he found great pleasure in working on his cars. Joe was a natural with animals, particularly dogs, and he was known as a great dog handler. His love of music was contagious, and he could often be found singing and dancing freely to his favorite tunes. A true adventurer at heart, Joe loved the outdoors and relished any opportunity to go hiking, swimming, or exploring the natural world. And of course, he loved to eat, always eager to share a meal with friends and family.

Jose “Joe” is survived by his wife, Vallery Dominguez; daughters Gia, Jaylynn, and Jazelle; and his other babies, sisters Veronica Dominguez and Jessica (Yobani Guttierez) Dominguez; brothers Kevin (Maria Garcia) Dominguez and Martin Jr.; and his parents, Martin and Alma Dominguez. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 1:30-2:40 pm at the Jefferson 3rd Ward, 2720 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden, Utah, followed by a celebration of Joe's life at 3:00 pm MDT at Jefferson 3rd Ward, 2720 Jefferson, Ogden, Utah. We encourage friends and family to join us in remembering and honoring the life of our beloved “Big Joe.”
