Our beloved sister, mother, aunt, and friend, Julie E. Fry Richardson, passed away on June 5th, 2021, of natural causes. Julie was born, along with her twin brother, Johnny, to Everett and Elaine Merritt Fry on March 9, 1951, in Myrtle Point, Oregon. Her family eventually settled in Layton, Utah, where she graduated from Davis High School and the University of Utah. Julie was proud to be the first sister missionary representing the Layton 17th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in the California East Mission. She had a strong and firm testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ serving faithfully in many callings, her favorite being Primary and a ministering sister.
She married Glenn Richardson in 1987 in the Salt Lake Temple, inheriting two wonderful step-daughters, Kaye and Christina, and granddaughter Harlee. She was an incredible aunt to her nieces and nephew, never forgetting a birthday and always concerned about their welfare.
Julie had a long, successful career, working for the federal government where she made many life-long friends. In spite of health challenges, Julie was strong, faithful, and resilient. We will truly miss her.
Special thanks to members of the Roy 11th Ward where Julie had many dear friendships and where you’ll find the best visiting and home teachers in the church, Mark and Delaine Oyler and Terry Bunnell.
Julie is survived by her brother, Johnny E. Fry (Joni); her step-daughter Kaye Richardson and granddaughter Harlee (Christina’s daughter); nieces Jami Fry, Jenny Fry, Jill Fronk (Zach) and children Ava, Samuel, Julia; nephew Jason (Catherine) Fry and daughter River; niece Ashley (Luke) Erekson and son, Everett;
Preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Elaine Fry; sister Jena Grant; husband Glenn Richardson; step-daughter Christina Richardson and both her pugs, Pugsly and Miss Pugs.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 10:30-12:00 am at Myers Mortuary in Roy, Utah. A graveside service will follow at the Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 North Monroe, in Ogden, Utah.
