Obituary

Karl C. (K.C.) Rawson

Karl C. Rawson left this world on June17, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family after a year long battle with cancer.

Karl was born September 20, 1940 to Parley B. and Gladys Daisey Hogge Rawson in Ogden, Utah. He attended schools at Plain City Elementary, Wahlquist Jr. High and graduated from Weber High School in 1959. While in high school he participated in athletics and the FFA Program which qualified for Nationals in Dairy Cattle Judging at Waterloo, Iowa in 1958. That team consisted of Karl, Frank Marcus, Ron Combe, and Ron Collette. Karl also attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah.

Karl had a love for building which he did for years as a contractor with his brother and also on his own. He was meticulous about his building as many of you know that worked with him or for him. He took great pride in the houses, milk barns, sheds, schools and bridges that were touched by his skilled hands.

Karl also had a love for farming and worked on the family dairy where he helped to establish Rawson Dairy in Plain City.

Karl married Rebecca Hancey on February 3, 1960. To this union were born 3 beautiful children. They were later divorced. Karl married Sandra Munn on June 15, 1973. With this union he was blessed with another daughter. They were later divorced.

Karl married Pamela V. Rawson on October 7, 1988 in Jackson, Wyoming at the foot of the Tetons in Wilson, Wyoming. K.C. loved the simple pleasure of this life. He had a great love of nature and took every chance he had to go camping, hunting, fishing and on trail rides with his family and true friends. One of his greatest pleasures in this life was the daily chance to "Ride and Wave" with his wife and their dogs every day throughout the community and to their property on Beaver Creek.

Karl is survived by his wife Pamela V. Rawson of Warren, UT, his son Daren (Robin) Rawson of North Ogden, UT, daughters Mardi Jennings of Orangeville, CA, and Melissa (Erick T.) Reyes of West Jordan, UT.

The love of Grandpa's heart is the grandchildren left to carry on. They include Cortney (Mitch) Daebelliehn, Samantha Rawson, Kyle Rawson, Cody Sorensen, Cassi Sorensen, Sara Erwin, Jordan Jennings and great-grandson Payson Daebelliehn.

Karl is survived by his siblings, Leah (Blaine) Sanders, Cleo (Duane) Wagstaff, Verl (Irene) Rawson, and Karlene (Richard) Oelke.

He is preceded in death by his son Brian Rawson and his parents.
