Karrie Lee Lund, 66, died peacefully following a stroke on January 7, 2022, surrounded by family.
Born on April 14, 1955, Karrie was the daughter of Keith L. and Kathryn M. Lund. Karrie grew up in Plain City, Utah. She spent part of adult life in Texas then came home to spend her remaining years residing in Farr West Utah.
Karrie is survived by her children, Boyd D. (Tia) Tracy of Colorado, Shari Tracy and Elizabeth Williams, both of Utah, her father Keith L. Lund of Plain City, Sisters Kristine Lewis, Ogden, Utah, Kevin Lund and Konnie (John) Parke, West Weber, Utah. Karrie was preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn M. Lund.
Karrie was beautiful, intelligent and ambitious. She had a lifelong love of classical music with an affinity for playing piano concertos and often sang in three-part harmony with her sisters. As an adult, Karrie honed her business skills and was well on her way to a career in business administration when poor health disrupted her career. Karrie then focused on her talent for crafting and on learning as much as possible about anything that interested her. Friends and family all benefitted from her home-made soaps and lotions, machine embroidery pillows and aprons, hand sewn clothing, essential oils, her knowledge of herbology and her beautiful patchwork quilts. She also collaborated with her brother researching genealogy. Karrie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints.
The family respected Karrie’s wishes to be an organ donor. She chose to have her remains cremated after a private family viewing.
Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service for Karrie on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Plain City Cemetery, 4373 W 1975 N, Plain City, Utah.
Arrangements entrusted to Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden UT 84404
