Kiera Lee Jorgensen

Kiera Lee Jorgensen, returned to her Father in Heaven on October 12, 2019. She is survived by her dad, Brett Jorgensen, her Mom and her bonus dad, John & Eleana Wolfe, her brother, Josh Jorgensen, grandma & grandpa Jorgensen, grandma Garner, grandma and grandpa Wolfe, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives who’s lives she touched, enriched and loved her. She is preceded in death by her grandpa Garner, Winny (her dog), great-grandparents Jorgensen & Hancey.

Kiera was born in Ogden Regional Hospital, Ogden Utah on March 1, 1991. She came into this world with a head full of hair and an instant love of life. Her passion and love extended to all those who knew her. Animals, especially her dog Winny and her horse Eiger were her great loves and she dedicated her life to taking care of them. She graduated Roy High School, then Weber and University of Utah and onto Postgraduate, earning her bachelor’s in molecular biology that came from a passion to heal and help be in some sort of Medical Field after being diagnosed with Sarcoma Cancer in 2010, which she survived, and re-diagnosed in 2018.

Kiera had an amazingly beautiful singing voice, played guitar, and was a great artist. She had just started learning to ride English on her horse Eiger and Fooey. During those times were some of the happiest for Kiera.

She was an active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with a strong testimony of Christ and the Atonement.

She would have liked to give thanks to the Huntsman Cancer Institute and all those who cared for her, especially those of Dr. Chalmers Team, and a nurse she grew very close to Ashleigh Lewis who took such great and loving care of her in the hospital and all the other Nurses and Dr’s. Ashleigh also did something very special and made it possible with the help of her husband and friend for Kiera to see her horse Eiger one last time, by bringing him to our home to be together again.

She will be riding horses, singing and playing with her dog Winny as heaven celebrates the arrival of this beautiful and special Angel in Heaven.

*** In Lieu of Flowers, there is a Memorial Fund set up at America First Credit Union, to go towards care of her horse Eiger, until such time as he is adopted per Kiera’s wishes by her friend. And any other medical costs  - It is listed under KIERA L JORGENSEN MEMORIAL FUND **

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at the Hooper 3rd Ward chapel  5601 S 6100 W  Hooper, Utah.  A viewing will be held Friday, October 18, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary 5865 S 1900 W  Roy, Ut  and prior to services from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the Church.
