Kyle Logan Mattson

OGDEN – On April 19, 2005, Kyle Logan Mattson, 54, beloved husband, father and son, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kyle was born October 13, 1950 to Logan C. and Carol Teuscher Mattson. He was raised and educated in Utah.

On October 13, 1978 he married Leisa Harris of Logan, Utah in the Ogden LDS Temple.

Kyle received his undergraduate degree from Weber State University, masters’ degrees from Syracuse University and Utah State University, and doctorate from the University of Kentucky. He taught finance in the College of Business at the University of Wisconsin and at the Rochester Institute of Technology, and returned to his beloved Weber State University as a faculty member in 1996.

Kyle was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a member of the Pleasant View 10th Ward. He served in the France-Belgium mission and various organizations in the church including scouting, and several years as prop master for the Hill Cumorah Pageant in Palmyra, New York.

Kyle is survived by Leisa, his wife of 27 years; their children, Blaire of Dallas, Texas, and Devin Kyle, currently serving an LDS mission in Norway; parents and brother Rand (Cynthia).

He was preceded in death by his son, Kyle Harris Mattson.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff and faculty of Weber State University for their unending concern and support.
