Lavina Mabrey Obituary

Lavina Diane Mabrey, 89, passed away March 17, 2023 in Farr West, Utah.  She was born December 17, 1933 in Los Angeles, California to William George Jensen and Lavina Williamson.

She attended Holbrook High School in Holbrook, AZ and graduated class of 1951.  She married Wilson Frederick Mabrey on August 15, 1958 in the Los Angeles Temple.  Diane was member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She served as a temple ordinance worker for 24 years, 7 years as a host at the Salt Lake Conference Center, she loved teaching primary and young women.  Diane worked as a medical secretary for 15 years and enjoyed counted cross stitching and temple work.

She is survived by her husband Fred; daughters, Jody Dawn Hutchins and Dana Lynn Lambrose; daughter in law Kathy Mabrey; 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; siblings, David (Darlene) Jensen, Shauna (Butch) Davis, Jeff Jensen and Bobbie Jensen.  She is preceded in death by her parents; son Frederick Hollis Mabrey and sister Mary Watts.

Graveside services will be Friday, March 24, 2023, 2:30 p.m. at Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd., Ogden, UT., with a viewing prior from 1-2 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT.
