Linda Martin Powell
Linda Martin Powell returned to her Heavenly Father on the Twenty Fourth Day of June Two Thousand Seventeen. She was born on the Fifteenth Day of April Nineteen Forty-Six to Merwin and Lois Bodily Martin. Her childhood was spent in Idaho and she resided in Ogden. She married Ward Powell on the Twentieth Day of March in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Eighty-Two in Moab, Utah.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a loving mother, grandmother and wife. She was a hardworking woman, working at Weber State University as a Financial Aid Technician for 32 years. She enjoyed the quiet life and was enamored by the deserts of Southern Utah. She spent her time crafting and creating. Sewing and quilting gifts for her friends and family. Linda was a caring woman. She cared for her garden and flowers; her family and dogs. Always tending to the people that she loved.
She is survived by her husband, Ward, her children; Shaun Beasley and Clayton Powell; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 6 brothers; 4 sisters and her two dogs.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017, at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Dayton Cemetery, ID-36, Dayton, Idaho on Saturday, July 1, 2017. A viewing will be held prior to the graveside at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S 800 E, Preston, Idaho from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
