Mom always said there is a time and a season for all things. Sunday she peacefully moved on for a joyful reunion with her parents, her siblings, and her daughter Traci. She was born in Logan, Utah on February 13, 1943, to D. Leslie and Isabel Harbertson Mayer. She was raised in Weber County and graduated from Weber High School.
She married our dad, J.R. Tribe on September 1, 1961. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Utah Temple. Her greatest joys and accomplishments were raising their five children and one bonus daughter.
Mom is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She held many ward and stake positions. Her favorite was serving as an ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple for several years. Later she served a service mission in Salt Lake City at the Church Office Building. Mom devoted years of her life to the PTA and served as president several times. She was a member of the Junior League of Ogden, volunteered at McKay Dee Hospital, and served at the Golden Hours Senior Citizens Center.
Mom always enjoyed taking all of us on road trips in the motorhome especially to Disneyland. We grew up motorcycling, snowmobiling, and boating. As we grew older and left home, she rejoiced in hosting backyard BBQ and swimming pool parties. She loved holidays and celebrating traditions surrounded by her family. Her love for flowers kept her busy and happy in her yard. Mom left her motto for life behind for us to live by: Keep the Lord with you at all times, keep your head up and soar with the eagles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, brother, and daughter Traci.
She is survived by her husband, JR, children Richard, Robert, Russell (Jen), Robyn (Joel Johnson), and Sommer (Matt Kemp), ten grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Per Mom’s request, a small graveside service will take place at Aultorest Memorial Park in Ogden, Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Ogden
