Mark Douglas Rowley was a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He passed away suddenly on November 15, 2023 at age 73.
He was born to Robert Rowley and Veda Stephens on August 26, 1950. He grew up one of eight brothers, he had eighteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Mark was fortunate to have experienced two great loves. He has been reunited with Cheryl Jones Rowley, his wife of 45 years, and survived by his wife Patricia Roberta Rowley.
He was a proud father of five children: Steve Rowley, Robyn Smith, Ryan Penman, Josh Dobbins and Cory Rowley.
After graduating high school, Mark went to work for Tech-Steel. He retired from Tech-Steel in 2020 as part owner and member of the Board of Directors.
Mark loved the outdoors, building anything, riding his Harley, having adventures, and playing his slightly out of tune guitar around a campfire. He was always quick with a compliment and has been titled by some as “best hugger ever”. Mark had a unique ability to see the true potential in people and show them the path to achieving more than they ever thought possible. He was a strong leader and yet a gentle and loving caretaker.
Mark will be honored in a memorial service at 1:00 pm on November 22, 2023 at Myers Mortuary (5865 S. 1900 W. Roy, UT), followed by a gathering at 2406 W. 975 N. Layton, UT.
