Our loving wife, mother and grandmother, MaryJean Carol Quintana Rueda was called home suddenly on November 22, 2021 of neuroendocrine cancer. She was born June 24, 1945 in Price, Utah to Fred Joseph Quintana and Maria Urbana Gallegos Quintana.
Carol married her soul mate Antonio Rueda on September 7, 1985 in Ogden.
Carol loved to gather-together with her family. She was an amazing cook and she loved to prepare meals for everyone. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she loved to spoil her grandchildren. She was unselfish, loving, caring and giving. She never turned anyone away. She often went without to be sure that everyone else was taken care of. She was feisty, always had a great comeback and loved to joke and tease. We will always cherish her smile and her laugh. Carol was everybody’s mom!
She is survived by her husband Antonio; children Dianna Maestas, Dena McDonagh, Nathan Medina (Christine), Matthew Medina and Jamie (Trinidad) Gil; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her siblings Fred (Karla) Quintana, Nancy (Lester, deceased) Valencia, Ranae Sanchez,
Rexann (Carlos) Gutierrez, Regina (Arthur) Lopez, Roger Sanchez and
Brenda (Joe) Valdez. She was preceded in death by one child;
a grandson Joshua Crookston and her parents.
Graveside services will be held at 11a.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 30th from 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden.
